Jan 24Dr Larry GessmanDr. Gessman presented part 3 in his series on Cardiology/heart health.  Larry’s lecture was recorded and is available to all Shed members.  The entire series will be available on the web (instructions for downloading parts 1 and 2 have been sent and instructions for downloading part 3 will be available following that presentation.  These recordings will remain available on the web until the end of January. 
Jan 17Deputy Anthony DukesDeputy Dukes from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office gave us an overview of activities at the Cabana Colony Youth Center and opportunities for additional Shed involvement.  Deputy Dukes also discussed the youth Breakfast Club that he and Shed member Ira Miller are heading up.  Shed member Dave Mack had us view a TED Talk on the Electoral College – with discussion to follow.
Jan 10Dr Larry GessmanDr. Gessman presented the second installment of his three-part series on Cardiology. Topics included cardiac arrhythmias-the electrical activity of the heart-ECG (electrocardiogram), atrial fibrillation/ ventricular fibrillation and tachycardia, and defibrillation.  Given he importance of these issues, please feel free to invite spouses and friends.
